Abstract:

A searchable, full-text database of over 100 peer-reviewed journals published by IGI Global. Covers many topics related to information science and its applications in medicine, business, education, government, and library science. Other topics include artificial intelligence; information security; mobile computing; multimedia technologies; software engineering; and web technologies. Continually updated. "An open access archive for scientific or technical documents, published or unpublished, on Librarianship, Information Science and Technology, and related application disciplines."—Home Page International in scope; documents are primarily in Spanish, English, or other European languages. Search interface is in English and all documents carry English language abstracts. Many options for searching and browsing. Utilizes the JITA Classification System of Library and Information Science (http://eprints.rclis.org/jita.html). Abstract:

Indexes journals in library literature and information science from 1905 to 1983. Incorporates indexing from Library work (1905–11), Library journal (1912–20), and Library literature (1921–83). Also includes full text content of the influential Wilson library bulletin (1914–83), plus citations to book reviews, books, book chapters, and library school theses.
